  • Nice compilation CD this one! Compiled by Reincheque's Daniel Prendiville. 15
different artists with a variety of styles thruout. Household Names kicks it
all off with "Bright Spot" a very quirky pop tune thats very well crafted
indeed-catchy tune! Next up R. Stevie Moore delivers "Dates" a rocking
brilliant slice of alternative pop with a punch! Ian C. Stewart performs a
really cool tight piece of music, my first experience of his solo music "Really
Fucking Good Instrumental" with some cool guitars & tronics. Trance Jax kicks
in with some pure hard trance that smokes "Touch The Sky" great sequences &
smooth pads shaking the dance floor! Digital Explosion provides the listener
with a grooving explosion of very upbeat happy tronics. Mobility hits you over
the head with "Melodic Phone" which reminds me a wee bit of early Kraftwerk.
Neurotron 606 coughs up "Do Do Do (anything 4 u)" which is full of samples that
you have heard a million times before by millions of electronic artists Great
vocoded computer voice/vocals though which are the only thing that holds this
track together, without them this track would be very repetitive & boring. John
Nell brings the listener "Factory of Smiles" which has some great noisy change
ups in it but a bit to poppish for my tastes, the main parts that is. Franco
Turra e i Cuorl Esagerati brings "Serpente Di Qualche Giorno" to the mix with
some great flamenco style guitar playing that absolutely rocks. J. Mundok shows
up with "You and Me" a wonderfull catchy pop tune that is smoking indeed, very
nice strange ending as well. Next up MJB presents "Float Away" a rocking
freeform type piece that shakes the house-Honky Tonking indeed! Midgaard Skalden
presents "Flestr Vissi That" a very laid back piece of space/tronics combined
with some awesome vocals, kinda like space pop!!Cool piece. Label owner Daniel
Prendiville offers up "Cologne" a wonderful fun electronic pop tune all done up
Prendiville style, with smooth swirling synths & sequences, catchy, catchy.
Nervous Sys-Op shoots in with "Dreamland" a lovely piece of dark electronics,
pounding percussion & middle eastern chants. Mental Anguish finishes it all off
with "Hebephrenic-Phinney Space Mix" a Tangerine Dream type slice of space
tronics. All in all a very well put together compilation that is sure to have
something for everyone. Highly recomended.  - Chris Phinney
